So you’ve decided that you need to work out. Now you need a workout plan. You could scour the internet for plans, but there’s a problem. You don’t know how to tell what is a good workout from what isn’t. There are scantily clad influencers showing off flashy workouts, good programs that aren’t really suited for beginners, and everything in between. That’s why I’m writing this guide on how to program for beginners, and providing a few example routines. Cardio is often seen as the “fat loss tool”, while strength training is seen as the “muscle gain tool”. If you want to build muscle, lift weights. If you want to lose fat, do cardio. I’m here to tell you that strength training is more important for fat loss than cardio.
